Hiking in the Snow

About a week ago, the boat on which I was cruising stopped at Port Angeles and arrange for me and my fellow passengers to bus into Olympic National Park. We were supposed to go to Hurricane Ridge, but the snow at that altitude had closed the roads. Instead, we went for a hike near Lake Crescent. Its elevation is a little over 600 feet whereas Hurricane Ridge is about 5,000 ft.

We expected a bit of rain on the hike, but the temperature dropped and the rain turned to snow. It was quite lovely to view the waterfall and the forest through fluffy flakes.
