My Worst Nightmare

Journey at Home Day 35

May is approaching and that means an opportunity to submit two photos to my local camera club competition. The categories are Nature, Photojournalism, Monochrome, and Color Pictorial. I've been sheltering in place for so long that anything in the nature and photojournalism categories would have to be images from a previous time. I am determined to submit photos I've taken in the past month!

I came up with an idea for a monochrome image to reflect what many of us fear—catching COVID-19, running a high fever, and becoming deeply distressed. This is it. I call it My Worst Nightmare. Someone pointed out that a fever of 109 would mean death, or not even be possible. Hey, this is a nightmare, so the worst case is possible!

Where I Am From
