Journey at Home Day 71
The patio in front of our entrance is full of creeping thyme, which flowers at this time of year. Native bees love it, and I love hearing their buzzing. The bees really don't care how close I get, because they are on a mission to collect pollen. I took the second photo with a regular lens. Then I spent a long time on the ground with my macro lens trying to capture the bees at work. The first image is a close up of one of them. It looks as if he is coming at me, but he is perched on a flower. Bees are pretty mellow. It's wasps and hornets who will both sting and take a bite out of you.
