I planted my three tomato plants so late that I still have a month to wait before my tomatoes are ready to eat. But my friend Janice, a skilled gardener who gets her crops planted early, was kind enough to let me pick four different types of tomatoes from her garden. My favorite is a two-tone tomato. The skin is purple on the top half gradually turning to red and orange at the bottom. The inside is orange and red. This was my breakfast. Tomatoes, lemon basil, cheese, and blueberries.
